Any amyl, butyl, or isobutyl nitrite that is inhaled as a drug, causing peripheral vasodilation and a temporary reduction in oxygen supply to the brain, leading to mild euphoria, a change of time perception, relaxation of smooth muscles, and in some people an intensification of sexual sensations.
