A form of analysis of variance that is used to analyse the difference between three or more means when the sets of scores are not independent, data that require this type of analysis most often arising in within-subjects designs when several measurements of a variable are taken from a single group of individuals at different times. Multifactorial analysis of variance may involve repeated measures on one or more of its independent variables.
