Recorded all Bartók's and Kodály's pf. mus. and all Prokofiev's solo pf. works. Made pf. transcr. of Dukas's L'apprenti sorcier. Taught at Southern Methodist Univ., Dallas, 1956–61, dir. of pf. studies, Univ. of Mich. at Ann Arbor 1961–81, Juilliard Sch. from 1982.
