Known only as the author of Diaphantus, or the Passions of Love, 1604, which includes a reference to ‘friendly Shakespeare's tragedies, where the comedian rides when the tragedian stands on tip-toe: faith it should please all, like Prince Hamlet.’ There is also a description of Hamlet: ‘Puts off his clothes, his shirt he only wears, / Much like mad Hamlet; thus as passion tears.’
