Modern dance in one act with choreography by Mark Morris, music by Lou Harrison, and costumes by Susan Ruddie. Premiered 16 Feb. 1993 by the Mark Morris Dance Group, at the Fine Arts Center at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst. A powerful and primitivist abstract work set to four of the five movements of Harrison's Grand Duo for Violin and Piano, it offers a potent vision of Morris's darker side as choreographer.
