bimonthly little magazine published at Nashville, Tenn. It contained poetry and criticism championing regionalism and attacking “the highcaste Brahmins of the Old South.” Most of the contributors were associated with Vanderbilt University, among them being Donald Davidson, Andrew Lytle, Merrill Moore, John Crow Ransome, Laura Riding, Allen Tate, and Robert Penn Warren. A collection from the magazine was issued as Fugitive Anthology (1928).
