Management, supervision, and evaluation of an organization, institution of society, service, social system, or component of the health care system. This is the usual way most organizations conduct their affairs and fulfill their purpose. The distinction between administration and management is ill-defined, but administration is said to be concerned with broad policy, whereas management is the manner in which policies are executed. When the word is capitalized (“the Administration”) it is a generic term for the leaders of the governing party of the nation. The word is part of the title of government agencies in the health and other sectors of many countries.
