An English service conceived in 2001 to provide universal advice to all 13–19‐year‐olds and to young people up to the age of 25 with learning difficulties or disabilities; and to support the development of those considered at risk. Every young person has a named Connexions personal adviser, who is able to provide information, advice, and practical help. There are some 47 Connexions partnerships throughout the country. The partnerships enable schools and colleges to work collaboratively with youth welfare services, counselling provision, and careers advisers to offer appropriate advice and support.
