Ballet in one act with choreography by Bettis, music by Alex North (arr. Rayburn Wright), and costumes by Saul Bolasni. Premiered 9 Oct. 1952 by the Slavenska-Franklin Ballet at Her Majesty's Theatre, Montreal, with Slavenska and Franklin. It is based on Tennessee Williams's 1947 play and has been revived for American Ballet Theatre (1954), Washington National Ballet (1974), and Dance Theatre of Harlem (1982).
