A mountain range in Syria which runs for about 280 km. (180 miles) parallel to the eastern Mediterranean coast, divided by the River Jordan from the Anti‐Lebanon range. Great cedar trees grew on the mountain slopes, and their wood was used in the construction of Solomon's Temple (1 Kgs. 7: 2–3).
