This article provides a report on the attempts to reproduce political equilibrium among parties and its applications. It examines a review of the two main theories of political competition, and notes the problems that are involved in generalizing these theories to the multidimensional context. It also proposes a resolution to these problems, specifically a theory of multidimensional political competition. The article ends with a discussion of some applications of this theory.
