The youngest nodes located under an apical bud of Chara vulgaris were isolated and cultivated in the presence or absence of 10−5 M GA3 under laboratory conditions to form spermatozoids. GA3 increased the DNA C-value in manubria by 20% and increased the number of spermatozoids per antheridium over 2-fold.
