Shacklock, Richard (d. before 1588), religious controversialist, was possibly from the Shacklock family of Mostyn, near Manchester, but exact details of his birth and parentage are unknown. He matriculated as a pensioner at Trinity College, Cambridge, in 1552, took his BA in 1555/6, and was placed eighth in the class list, becoming a fellow of his college in 1555 and proceeding MA in 1559.
