Welsted, Robert (1670/71–1735), physician, was the son of Leonard Welsted of Bristol. He matriculated from St Edmund Hall, Oxford, on 4 December 1687, aged sixteen, and was elected in 1689 to a demyship at Magdalen College, which he held until 1698, graduating BA on 25 June 1691, and MA on 12 May 1694.
