Elliott, Thomas Renton (1877–1961), physician and physiologist, was born at Willington, co. Durham, on 11 October 1877, the eldest son of Archibald William Elliott, retailer, and his wife, Anne, daughter of Thomas Renton, of Otley, Yorkshire.
