Pasmore, (Edwin John) Victor (1908–1998), artist, was born on 3 December 1908 at Chelsham House, Chelsham Road, Surrey, the eldest son of Edwin Stephen Pasmore (1866–1927), physician and specialist in mental diseases, and Gertrude Eva Screech (1884–1974), amateur painter.
