Fifty‐eight cases of CT scan‐proven intracranial space occupying lesions (ICSOL) in children were biopsied. Tuberculoma of brain turned out to be a major consideration comprising 10.34 per cent, second only to astrocytomas which comprised 32.75 per cent of ICSOL. There were 13 non‐neoplastic lesions, of which tuberculoma constituted 46.1 per cent. The need for awareness of this common entity in developing countries is discussed.
