This chapter presents an overview of the main empirical results and policy perspectives. The discussions include the conceptual approach of the Combination model, the normative approach of the combination model, the actual development of the division of labour, the policy models for a democratic division of labour, and the policy perspectives for a democratic division of labour. Increasing interest in the societal division of professional and family labour in the EU and elsewhere, in connection with an ageing population, has been noticed. More stakeholders are looking at it from a wider perspective that is, searching for a new approach to the daily division of labour between men and women, with sufficient attention to basic activities and differentiating factors.
