This chapter focuses on entrepreneurialism which is a pervasive theme in private and public sector change. Entrepreneurialism offers a scope for discretion and freedom. It also forges new expectations, anxieties and emotional commitments to goals that organisational members may have had no hand in formulating. In this chapter, the theme of entrepreneurialism is examined through discussion of the concept of generic entrepreneurialism and more specific forms that make up a typology. Radical potentialities are highlighted, specifically the notion of democratic entrepreneurialism.
