This chapter draws together the findings reported earlier in the book to develop a general model of the determinants of children's risk and safety on the internet. The findings broadly support the working model outlined in Chapter 1. The chapter then offers a typology of young internet users, revealing the contextual links between internet use, opportunities, risk and harm. Last, it presents a classification of countries to show how the patterning of variables differs in different cultural contexts.
