This chapter examines the diverse housing experiences of minority ethnic groups in Great Britain. It highlights the significance of socioeconomic differentiation, and also shows how factors such as gender and disability may crosscut or reinforce patterns of ethnic inequality. The chapter also suggests that the negative stereotypes of segregation into so-called ghettos provide limited information about the meanings or shifting characteristics of home and community.
