Show Summary Details

This chapter examines the role of knowledge management in the restructuring of large housing estates in Europe. It suggests that a partial neglect of available knowledge and an inappropriate management of knowledge as a basis for policies of change are important reasons for many obviously problematic decisions and practices in housing-restructuring efforts. The chapter explains how knowledge management can be fashioned into a tool for the development of large housing estates.
