This chapter uses survey and interview data to analyse the views of female and male physicians in Lithuania on intentions to migrate, and to highlight the gendered mobility track of the health workforce. It explores how institutional arrangements have changed and created new opportunities and constraints for physicians in post-Soviet societies like Lithuania. It examines how professional mobility is shaped in post-Soviet societies and to what extent decisions to practise in the future in a European Union country is related to gender.
