This chapter reflects on the issues emerging from research on engaging with fathers in a variety of welfare settings in the last decade. It highlights some key issues in relation to who will do this work, where, how, and why. While avoiding prescription, it does appear that attending to how men and women navigate their ways through material and emotional landscapes saturated with gendered meanings is vital if current policy developments are to be implemented.
