Show Summary Details

Specimens in the “referred material” subheading of each taxon are listed according to the locality from which they are recovered. Localities are listed and discussed with reference to their paleomagnetic site numbers, but cross-reference to the UCR locality number, in addition to geographic coordinates and list of taxa, are presented in the appendix. Most taxa were recovered by Frick and Rak shortly after Frick's 1921 publication and have been mentioned only briefly in previous literature. The large mammals given by Frick and others noted previously were excluded to those earlier publications. Measurements of all teeth in tables and text are in millimeters, “AP” and “TR” refer to anteroposterior and transverse measurements, respectively, “P” and “M” refer to upper premolars and molars, respectively, and “p” and “m” refer to lower premolars and molars, appropriately.
