This chapter examines the marriage and political career of Victor Considerant. It explains that Considerant married Julie Vigoureux on February 16, 1838 after more than ten years of being in love with each other. During this period, Considerant's career as a journalist, organizer, and political activist lay largely ahead of him and his political views were to undergo major changes during the following few years. The chapter suggests that Considerant's marriage did not take him away from the life of Ecole Sociétaire and discusses his participation in the parliamentary elections of March 1839.
