This chapter examines the evidence for the provincial distribution of the relationship between sovereign power and disciplinary association during the late seventeenth and early eighteenth centuries. It shows that this relationship became an important part of the population in the old province of Trabzon, which became connected with imperial military and religious institutions. The chapter uses the district of Of as a case study to demonstrate the emergence of an Ottomanist state society in the Trabzon province.
