This chapter examines the role of Deng Pufang and his staff in the formation of the China Disabled Persons' Federation (CDPF). It explains that they drew upon forms of bodiliness in their efforts and considers the “bodies” of Deng Pufang, his father, the nation-state, and Federation Employees, which, it shows, have not functioned as isolates, but instead have been highly interdependent mediums of sociopolitical formation.
