This chapter aims to determine if the historical narratives of America travel to other countries in the world. The discussion shows that American historiography does not travel well, despite its sophistication, quantity, and quality. It also reveals that it does not have a significant impact on other historiographies. The influence American historiography has outside of the country and the factors that discourage exportation are explored. The chapter determines that there are some American historical narratives which are exported, and concludes that the relationship between American Americanists and foreign Americanists depends on the development of a more demanding interaction between them.
