Cercopithecidae includes Cercopithecinae and Colobinae. The Cercopithecinae are divided into two clades, Cercopithecini and Papionini, while Colobinae is divided into two geographically distinct clades: the African Colobina and the Asian Presbytina. This chapter examines Cercopithecidae fossil specimens collected from the Daka Member. There are 17 collected specimens, and both subfamilies of Cercopithecidae are present in the Daka sample. One cranium is a new species of colobine, Cercopithecoides alemayehui. The other specimens represent Cercopithecinae and belong to the large extinct baboon Theropithecus oswaldi leakeyi. The material includes cranial and postcranial specimens, including the first juvenile cranium of this subspecies.
