In this chapter, Clark shares his experience of meeting a lady much after his wife, Pauline's death. It was 1990 and Clark had been gigging hard. It was during one of his gigs that he came to know about Gwen Paris, a single forty-two year old woman. Although she didn't know much about jazz, and the conversations of Clark and Gwen were mainly telephonic, they eventually grew fond of each other and Gwen even accompanied Clark to some of his gigs. Although not from the same field, both, Clark and Gwen were from the education business through Students Targeting Adult Responsibility (STAR). While Clark taught jazz to youth and children, Gwen helped youngsters earn scholarships for college. Clark found her to be a nice lady, and had found a new love in her after his wife's death in 1979. He hoped that Gwen could adjust to him and his world.
