Show Summary Details

Clark shares his experiences moving towards retirement. It was in 2006 that he got an offer to be the Grand Marshal in University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB) and so he decided to move to Pine Bluff. The UAPB had had two Clark Terry Jazz Festivals, one of which also featured the Clark terry's Big Bad Band, and it was an honor for Clark to ride the parade as the Grand Marshal. It made him feel proud of all the work he had done. Clark Terry remained in touch with his students from all over the world and was proud of their talent. Clark also describes the numerous honors and awards he got for his work but the biggest surprise of them all was sitting in the front row in the Wilshire Ebell Theater in Los Angeles. Clark Terry concludes by stating that his prayer is to keep on inspiring jazz students.
