This chapter examines Gilles Deleuze's concept of change and history. It suggests that Deleuze is a philosopher of revolution and his metaphysics is constructed for this virtual context of movement and change. It argues that the concept of change, which grounds Deleuze's critique, must be radically distinguished from the concept of history because it is in this difference that the effective revolutionary nature of his work may be found.
