This chapter focuses on the Deleuzian process of technological development. It suggests that Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari have presented technological development as fundamentally conducive to the emancipation of flows of desire by exploring political possibilities enabled by new technologies. The chapter outlines how different assemblages can be understood to encourage particular technological developments and explores the suggestion that the deterritorialisation of the capitalist axiomatic presents a ‘smooth space’ which produces lines of flight.
