In the last chapter of her novel, Wilma reflects on her transition from youth to puberty, finally finding a place among the female realm. She also paints an immortal picture of her father, who passes when she is only fourteen years old, due to heart problems. Wilma realizes that no one is immortal, and that nature, including the people among it, are constantly cycled through life and death.
