This chapter examines two essays on Nietzsche, “Towards an Analysis of Release”, and “Nihilism in Terms of Being-as-History”. In “Release”, Being is conceived as an open domain. Of particular importance in the essay is the relationship between Being and Being-as-horizon-of-transcendence. Meanwhile, “Nihilism in Terms of Being-as-History” notes that re-solve is a release unto Being-as-negatived, even if it may acquiesce in the eventual annihilation of the thinker as Being's There.
