This chapter examines the most “advanced” period of the German Jewry's inner renewal. It highlights the influence of Franz Rosenzweig's essay Education Without End on inner renewal, particularly on Jewish education. In this essay, Rosenzweig suggested that the time had come for Judaism's own truth to find its realization and for Jewish principles to be transformed into action. He also believed that Jewish education should become a living embodiment of Judaism and an act of joyous devotion to all things Jewish.
