This chapter examines the metal artefacts or objects found in the Fayoum Oasis in Egypt that are currently in the custody of the Coptic Museum in Cairo. The metal objects from the Fayoum in the collection of the Coptic Museum in Cairo are of various ages and styles. They can be divided into two broad groups: profane objects and Christian objects including liturgical furniture from medieval or more recent times. The texts which are reproduced on them are drawn from manuscripts, dedications, and epitaphs of the tenth century and do not go with their new supports.
