This chapter examines the early Christian burials at the Fag al-Gamous cemetery in the Fayoum Oasis in Egypt. The most significant tomb found in the cemetery consists of large room, some four by three meters in size and approximately two meters from floor to ceiling. The overall consistency of the burial methods and patterns in the sandy portions of the cemetery is remarkable, especially taking into consideration the differences in detail that display individual tastes and a broad range of economic expenditures in funerary matters. This chapter provides relevant photographs and the assumed burial schema at Fag al-Gamous.
