This chapter aims to clarify the links between Fayoum Province and the monastery of al-Suryan, located in Wadi al-Natrun, in the late medieval period. It provides examples of eminent monks who lived in the monastery at that time who had some Fayoumic connections. Some of the monks who were linked with the Fayoum and the monastery of al-Suryan include Priest Mikhail ibn Yuhanna al-Bahnasawi, the monk Dumadiyus al-Suryani, and Priest Dumadiyus al-Asyuti.
