Thoughts of Exchange:

Show Summary Details

Exchange was something that every prisoner assumed was their right. This chapter explains why official exchange was not nearly as common as prisoners would have wanted. Wesley was captured after the exchange system had failed and his fate was uncertain. Thoughts of escape and the need to survive replaced any hope of a speedy exchange. Survival was the only real choice for most prisoners-of-war.
