This chapter takes Wesley from Johnson's Island through several other prison camps. He left Johnson's Island before the war ended and passed through three other prison camps on his way back to Virginia. Wesley's writings become brief and little is noted of these prisons. The focus of the chapter is not only these travels, but how Wesley chose not to invest in telling Kate of these temporary stops on his hopeful journey home.
