This chapter presents the osteobiography of a man (aged 35–45 years) from Tell Atchana (ancient Alalakh), Turkey (mid-15th-late 14th centuries B.C.E.). Archaeological context and skeletal data indicate this man experienced rigorous physical upper body activity. The author uses a carefully documented fictive narrative to tell the story of this man's life as a reed worker.
