This chapter discusses Karl J. Kuerner, the son of the owner of Kuerner Farm. Kuerner Farm was the favorite subject of Andrew Wyeth, who featured it in no less than a thousand paintings. When Karl was born, Wyeth had already been painting on the Kuerner Farm for twenty years. As a boy, Karl watched Wyeth paint, which may be a major factor in shaping Karl's love for agrarian art. The chapter also includes Karl's description of Wyeth as an artist and looks at several of Karl's paintings.
