This chapter examines accounts of theoretical voyages in Dutch natural philosopher Christiaan Huygens' book Cosmotheoros. It explains that in the book Huygens portrayed a unified space of a harmonious cosmos in a narrative that is conjectural, but not fictional. This chapter also contends that Cosmotheoros is in a way philosophical treatise that offered a complete theory of the universe and suggests that it also offered “philosophical” demonstration of the existence of inhabitants on other planets.
