This chapter sums up the key findings of this study on the place and role of fiction in cosmological discourse in the seventeenth century. It explains the poetics used in the works analyzed in this volume which include fictional poetics for the imaginary voyage, the poetics of the conjectural probable for the theoretical voyage, and the poetics of experimental proof for the optical voyage. It also discusses the fictionalization of narratives and the factualization of narratives and analyzes the relevance between fiction and hypothesis.
