This chapter gives an account of two dedicated police officers, Paul Yurkiw and Rich Teemsma, working in the Emergency Service departments and discusses their brave acts in July 1997. Yurkiw met Teemsma at the Midtown South Precinct, to which both were assigned after they graduated from the Police Academy. The chapter talks about the informant Mohammed Chindluri and indicates that people have given different accounts of how Chindluri came to the attention of the police. The chapter looks at Kammerdener's testimony in the trial: United States vs. Lafi Khalil and Gazi Ibrahim Abu Mezer.
