This chapter discusses the result of a survey of the Hong Kong business community's perceptions on the effects of restrictions on services trade on their economic prospects. The findings reveal that financial services was the area in which most businessmen thought that further liberalization would have the biggest benefit for them, followed by the business services and information technology services sectors. This chapter also analyzes how service liberalization can affect Hong Kong's position as a service hub.
