This chapter examines the fate of German spies in Vichy France. It investigates what happened to the spies once they were arrested, the punishments they received, and the factors that influenced the length of their sentence. This chapter explains that though between 1,500 and 2,500 individuals were arrested on suspicion of pro-German espionage, the majority of those informing the Germans were never arrested or punished.
