This chapter discusses the findings of the author's research related to the photocopied piece of paper that Tooy made Roland wear around his neck to serve as protection. He searched his occult French books and found something very similar to Tooy's paper in Enchiridion du Pape Leon. According to the book, Tooy's paper contained a prayer against arrows and it used to be worn by soldiers going to battle. Tooy's paper also contained the very words supposedly spoken by Adam, when he was in Hell or in Limbo, by the banks of the Charon.
